Marketing for Coaches
Powerful Web Site Marketing Tactics
Learn three steps to attracting more prospects
by communicating from their point-of-view
Why Does Communicating From Your Prospects “Point-of-View” = More Clients?
Most coaches have had the following experience when talking to a prospect.
During the conversation, your potential client says something (to the tune of) “You get me, you understand me.” They recognize that you comprehend and empathize with who they are, where they’re coming from, and where they want to go . . .Which is the result of you understanding how they look at the world around them.
And that recognition is what often leads to them becoming your client.
Help Prospects Get That Same “Ah Hah!” Moment on Your Web Site
Learn how to replicate that experience on your web site’s home page. Discover the three key steps to creating the content and approach necessary to help your ideal client say to himself or herself “They work with someone like me!” after they’ve read your home page. You will learn this by:
- Reviewing specific examples showing what is and is not, customer-driven content.
- Gaining the right questions to ask yourself, to create and review your web site copy.
- Discovering where and how to get the information needed to create what you need.
- Finding out the easiest and simplest way to create your copy, without staring at a blank computer screen.
Is This Your Home Page?
In the last year, I’ve evaluated more than 35 web site home pages of active, working coaches. Over 94% of those home pages presented the coaches’ services and themselves as follows:
- As a coach, using positive “coaching” language such “reaching goals, overcoming obstacles, removing barriers, etc.” (That approach only makes sense if you are marketing to yourself, which you aren’t.)
- To a broad “picture” of the coaches’ ideal client. (The information was so broad and nonspecific that it wasn’t strong enough to inspire a response.)
Do these sound familiar? (Mind you, only two out of 35 home pages reviewed contained a strong, niche message.)
Why This Is Important: Gain More Clients With Less Work
Of course, web sites are not the only way to get clients. Many of the coaches who I spoke with obtained clients and have successful businesses due to powerful sample coaching sessions, speaking engagements, networking, and other marketing tactics.
And with a home page and web site reflecting their ideal clients’ needs, issues and desires, they would have gained even more success.
And you can too!
